To conclude, PPEUM Dermatology is by far the best option for cost-effective cosmetic treatments in South Korea. Their main branch in Gangnam occupies four entire floors of the 808 building, and it’s only a minute’s walk from Exit 5 of the Sinnonhyeon station. The Shulink Cosmetics treatment costs less than 100,000 South Korean won, while the 1-centum core Filler trial is available for just 49,000 won – a price that is practically unbeatable in the Gangnam area. If this is your first time undergoing skin treatments in South Korea, or if you have a limited budget but don’t want to compromise on quality, PPEUM is definitely worth giving a try.
Why choose PPEUM PPEUM? Three reasons are enough.
To be honest, I’ve encountered quite a few problems when practicing Dermatology in South Korea. Some clinics look upscale, but their prices are exorbitant; others are cheap, yet the environment and communication experience are far from satisfactory. PPEUM is one of the few places where I truly feel that “the price is commensurate with the quality of service provided.”
Firstly, the scale is considerable. The Gangnam flagship store occupies floors 12 to 15 of Building 808, with floor 13 dedicated solely to consultations and reception. Unlike some small clinics that are crammed on the ground floor of office buildings, the space here is truly exceptional. It is equipped with a lobby, waiting areas, consultation rooms, treatment rooms, post-treatment care areas, and dressing rooms, in addition to a dedicated VIP area for PVL customers.
Secondly, the prices are indeed competitive. Here are some examples: the Shulink Cosmetics ultrasonic treatment costs 30,000 Korean won (about 160 RMB) for 100 sessions; the Inmode FX full-face treatment costs 69,000 Korean won (about 360 RMB); and imported German botulinum toxin treatments start from 25,000 Korean won per area (about 130 RMB). For the same services at a clinic in Apgujeong, the prices are basically double.
Thirdly, the transportation is very convenient. From Exit 5 of the Sinnonhyeon station on Line 9 and the new Bundang Line, it only takes 1 minute to walk to the destination – short enough that you don’t even need an umbrella on rainy days. Moreover, the station is open on Sundays (11:00–17:00), which is very convenient for those with busy schedules.
Dean Team: The dean, who comes from the medical faculty of Seoul National University Hospital, takes charge of the team.
Zheng Heon-jin, the representative director of PPEUM, graduated from the School of Medicine at Seoul National University and is a specialist physician at Seoul National University Hospital. In South Korea’s Dermatology community, the background associated with Seoul National University Hospital carries significant weight. The entire medical team consists of over a dozen senior physicians, each with a specific role: the injection team focuses on a natural approach involving multiple small injections; the laser equipment team precisely controls pulses and wavelengths; and the Lifting team specializes in using HIFU and titanium-based treatments to achieve optimal results.
What I personally experienced the most was the injection process. When I got Filler injected at other places before, either my face would become stiff after the injection, or the filler would be absorbed within a few months. However, the way PPEUM injects Filler is more focused on “administering small amounts in multiple areas evenly.” After the injection, there is no such “plastic-like” sensation, and they use mainstream brands like JuveLook – not some obscure, unknown products.
Actual experience with popular treatments: What did I do and how much did it cost me?
This time, I had three treatments: 300 sessions of Schollink Ultrasonic Therapy + a full-face treatment using the Inmode FX mode + 1 centum core of Filler injection. The total cost was less than 300,000 Korean won, which is approximately 1,600 yuan. When I inquired about the same package at a clinic on the next street, the price started from at least 400,000 Korean won.
Schulink Ultrasonic Technology for the Universe – The wonder tool for Lifting the jawline
The Schrinking Universe is one of PPEUM’s flagship treatments. The package of 300 sessions costs 99,000 Korean won, while adding an additional 300 sessions with the Glowing Ampoule results in a total cost of 199,000 Korean won. When I underwent the treatment, the director carefully focused on my jawline and Apple Zone areas, and the entire procedure took approximately 40 minutes. As for the pain… well, it was more of a soreness and swelling in the areas where the bones are more prominent, but it was completely within a tolerable range.
Immediately after the treatment, you can feel that the jawline has become tighter, and the effects become even more noticeable after about a week. To be honest, if your budget is limited and you can only choose one treatment, I recommend the Schollink Universe procedure – it offers the best value for money. Inmode FX mode – Reduction surgery for Pores + Firming, all in one
Inmode is another popular product from PPEUM. The FX treatment costs 69,000 Korean won for the entire face, while the combination of both treatments costs 259,000 Korean won. I chose the FX treatment, which is mainly designed to address Pores and facial sagging. During the procedure, you will feel a warm sensation, and occasionally there may be a slight stinging feeling similar to that of a mild electric current, but it’s nothing too intense.
In terms of results, the Pores do indeed become smaller, and the skin feels smoother to the touch. However, Inmode requires multiple treatments to produce noticeable changes; a single session usually yields results that are “noticeable but not truly stunning.” If you have oily skin with large Pores, you might consider a package of 5 treatments.
Filler injections: The JuveLook trial offer is truly attractive.
The trial price for 1 centum core of JuveLook injection is 49,000 Korean won (approximately 260 RMB). I had the Nasolabial Fold Correction and the area beneath the nose treated. Before the procedure, the director used a mirror to confirm the areas that needed improvement and specifically emphasized the importance of achieving a natural look. A blunt needle was used during the injection, so the pain was much less than with a sharp needle. The results were immediate and satisfactory; there was no obvious swelling or unnatural appearance. There was slight swelling the next day, but it disappeared by the third day.
It is also worth mentioning that at PPEUM, the price for 1 centum core of domestic fillers is only 70,000 Korean won, while for Lizhu Bi’er, it is 119,000 Korean won. If you want to achieve better long-term results, the imported Belotro filler, available in 1 centum core volumes, costs 249,000 Korean won. In addition to the three items that I personally tested, PPEUM offers a very extensive menu. The following are the items that I particularly consider worth paying attention to:
Titanium Gold Lifting: The trial package for 20KJ costs 99,000 Korean won, while the 40KJ package is priced at 390,000 Korean won. Titanium Gold Lifting is designed for those with moderate facial sagging and works best when used in combination with the Schollink Ultimate treatment, with a combined price of 540,000 Korean won.
Ulthera Pipram: The trial package of 100 treatments costs 299,000 Korean won, while the package of 300 treatments costs 1,200,000 Korean won. This is the premium version of the HIFU device, offering more profound effects but at a higher price. If you are seeking the maximum Lifting results and have sufficient budget, this option值得 considering.
Dermatology toning: A 10-session package costs 199,000 KRW and is particularly suitable for those with pigmentation or uneven skin tone. When combined with a 10-session Genesis laser treatment package for 290,000 KRW, the results in removing spots and lightening the skin are even more comprehensive. Compared to t that were mentioned earlier, PPEUM has a clear advantage in laser treatments.
Selldi M full-face treatment: 7 centum cores per session cost 590,000 Korean won. This product is a Collagen stimulant suitable for overall anti-aging treatments. When combined with Lijulan Xiler 2 centum cores, the total cost is 729,000 Korean won, offering a dual-enhancing effect.
Depilation packages: 5 treatments for female armpits at 29,000 Korean won, and 5 treatments for full-face hair removal at 290,000 Korean won. These prices are considered very affordable in the Gangnam area.
Environment and Services: Bilingual support in Chinese and Korean to ensure smooth communication
In terms of the environment, as mentioned earlier, the facility covers four floors, providing ample space. There are Chinese-speaking staff in the reception area to assist customers throughout the process—from registration to consultation to the actual treatment—so language barriers won’t pose any issues. The waiting area is equipped with tea and light snacks, and the consultation rooms are private, one-on-one spaces, which is different from some clinics where several people consult at the same time in a shared area, resulting in a lack of privacy.
After the procedure, they provide calming facial masks and cold compresses. Additionally, hyperbaric oxygen therapy can be chosen as an optional option (60 minutes for 99,000 Korean won). After undergoing a full-face laser treatment and lying in a hyperbaric oxygen chamber for half an hour, the calming effect is indeed much better than simply applying a facial mask.
It is worth mentioning that PPEUM also offers a dedicated area for PVL members, featuring separate lobbies and consultation rooms. If you are a regular customer or frequently undertake various projects, the experience offered by PVL will be even more superior. However, the service quality in the regular areas is already very good, so there is no need to specifically pursue VIP membership.

It is recommended to make reservations 2-3 days in advance, especially during weekends when slots are more in demand. On weekdays afternoons, there are fewer people, making it easier to schedule a consultation with your preferred doctor.
