To be honest, my initial impression of “Dermatology in Cheongdam-dong” was that it was expensive, offered excellent service, but required long waiting times. Who is Director Yoon Seung-eun? Why did Cheongdam-dong choose him?

After spending some time in South Korea’s medical aesthetics industry, I realized that the quality of Dermatology clinics in Gangnam can actually be divided into three tiers:

• Level 1: Doctors trained through basic courses follow the instructions strictly, resulting in uniform treatment outcomes for everyone.
• Level 2: Experienced but without R&D background; technically reliable yet unable to drive innovation

Dr. Yoon Seong-eun falls into the third category. Step 1: Make an appointment. It’s recommended to book 7–14 days in advance, and you can do this through BeautsGO, the official website, or WeChat. A Chinese-speaking customer service representative will confirm the time and services you’d like to undergo.

Step 2: Check-in – Upon arriving on the 4th floor of the ANEW Building, the reception staff will greet you in both Chinese and Korean and have you fill out some basic information. What’s special is that you’ll be given a complete price list (available both on the wall and in print), allowing you to understand the costs of all services before making a decision.

Step 3: In-person consultation – Director Yin will conduct the consultation in person, rather than having a consultant do it on his behalf. He will communicate briefly in Chinese with the help of translation to analyze your face shape and determine which treatments are suitable and what dosage to use. This is extremely important — many clinics have consultants handle the consultations while doctors are only responsible for administering the treatments, and this lack of communication can easily lead to suboptimal results.

Step 4: Injection – Dr. Yin personally performs the procedure, closely monitoring the injection depth and dosage throughout. Detailed aftercare instructions are provided, along with a Chinese version of the precautions sheet.
