I. Basic Information about Seongsu newlline Dermatology

Let’s start with some basic information for those in a hurry to get a quick overview:

Second, walking from the Seongsu station to the clinic was much easier than I had imagined.

I stayed at a homestay near Hongdae. I left home at 10 am and took the subway Line 2 straight to Seongsu Station, without having to transfer trains – this is extremely important for someone who is not familiar with the local transportation system.

Exit from Exit 4 of Seongsu Station, turn on your phone’s navigation app, and walk along Shangyuan Road for about 5 minutes to arrive. The building looks like an ordinary commercial office complex; take the elevator to the 5th floor, and the clinic is right there when you open the door.

To be honest, I thought I would get lost – but it turned out to be even easier than finding a coffee shop hidden on the second floor in Taipei.

First impression upon entering: clean, bright, and free from the typical smell of disinfectants found in hospitals. The reception area features a design dominated by white and wooden tones; the sofas are very comfortable, and there weren’t many people waiting — I went there on a weekday morning and waited only about 10 minutes before it was my turn.

III. Director Li Enshi’s in-person consultation: We don’t recommend the most expensive options; instead, we suggest what suits you best.

The process is as follows:

1. Fi ll in the basic information – During the consultation, you will be given a form where you are asked about your allergy history, the skincare products you have used, and the treatments you would like to undergo. The entire process is conducted in Chinese, so you don’t need to worry at all.

2. Sk in analysis – An instrument is used to scan your face, and various parameters such as Pore size, pigmentation levels, and moisture content are all quantified. It was only when I saw the data on the screen that I realized something: I thought my skin was in pretty good condition, but actually its moisture level was only 60% of the normal range.

3. T he consultation with the director – this is the part I care about the most. Director Li Enshi held the test report and, while looking in the mirror, analyzed each area of my face for me: “There is too much oil on your T-zone, but your cheeks are severely dehydrated,” “The fine lines on your Forehead are caused by dehydration, not true wrinkles,” “The pigmentation on your chin is related to your sun protection habits.”

She didn’t immediately recommend the most expensive treatment option. My budget was around 1 million Korean won, so she presented me with two options based on my budget – one focusing on anti-aging and the other on hydration. In the end, I chose the combination of 300 sessions of Ulthrea + Rejuran PN hyaluronic acid injections.

IV. Full transparency in pricing: The price list of Seongsu newlline Dermatology

These are the prices I recorded during my in-person consultations and have organized them together; they include taxes. All the rates are the same for both China and Korea, with no hidden fees at all.

💡 The treatment I chose: 300 HIFU sessions with the Ulthrea + 2 centum core of Rejuran PN, for a total cost of approximately 1.2 million Korean won (around NT$27,000). The same treatment in Gangnam would cost around 1.5 to 1.8 million Korean won.

V. Treatment process: It was much easier than I had imagined.

The entire treatment takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes and is divided into four stages:

1. Ap plication of anesthetic (30 minutes) – The nurse will apply the anesthetic cream for you; it feels cool and doesn’t cause any discomfort at all. During these 30 minutes, I just lay there and scroll through my phone.

200 HIFU treatments (35 minutes in total) were performed by the director herself. The treatment started on one side of the face; after each session, she would ask me, “How does it feel here?” To be honest, the sensation near the jawline was quite noticeable—it was like being touched by an eraser, but it was completely tolerable. After completing one side of the face, she used a mirror to show me the results: the contours on that side had indeed become more defined.

3. Re juran hyaluronic acid injection (15 minutes) – Immediately after the HIFU treatment, the Rejuran injection is administered. Since the face has already been anesthetized, there is almost no sensation at all. The director injected the substance from the Forehead down to the chin, ensuring that each injection was evenly distributed.

4. A pply a cooling mask and use LED light therapy for 15 minutes — immediately apply a cooled mask after the procedure to reduce inflammation, and use LED red light to promote healing. Those 15 minutes were literally the hardest time for me… I almost fell asleep.

After the procedure, the director gave me a post-operative care kit: an ice pack mask, sunscreen, and a Chinese-language list of post-operative precautions. He even helped me mark the location of the pharmacy on my phone map – truly very thoughtful of him.

VI. Postoperative Changes: From the day of the procedure to one month later

To be honest, HIFU is not a treatment that produces immediate results the day after it is done; it works in a gradual manner. Around the 2nd to 3rd week, you might suddenly notice that your face seems to have become tighter, and the contours of your cheeks appear more defined than before.
