[Experience Report 03] A Detailed Record of My Actual Experience at Busan Lino Bo renovo Dermatology

As someone with sensitive skin, I walked for 5 minutes after exiting at exit number 7 in Seomyeon. After getting the Rejuran glow treatment, on the 7th day, a colleague asked me where I had gotten it done.

I. Why did I choose Busan Inno-Bio?

Let me first provide some background information: I have sensitive skin – my cheeks turn red, the T-zone becomes oily, and my skin peels during season changes. II. Why choose Busan instead of Seoul?

To be honest, at first, I also hesitated between choosing a clinic in Gangnam, Seoul, or one in Seomyeon, Busan. There are indeed many Dermatology clinics in Gangnam, but a very practical issue is that the prices there are approximately 30% higher than those in Busan.

For the same Thermage FLX full-face treatment, the cost in Gangnam may range from 1.8 million to 2.5 million Korean won (approximately NT$47,000 to $65,000), while in Busan, the price is directly reduced by half. Additionally, patients in Busan have more doctors to choose from. This is not because Gangnam is inferior in any way, but simply because treatments in Busan are significantly cheaper. After the procedure, patients in Busan can immediately go shopping or enjoy seafood without having to worry about a long recovery period that might interfere with their plans.

Let’s start with transportation – this is probably the aspect in Seomyeon, Busan that you don’t need to worry about at all. The Seomyeon station serves as a transfer point for Busan Metro Lines 1 and 2; upon exiting Exit 7, you will immediately come across a row of commercial buildings.

The Samhan Golden View Building is located at No. 25 Seomyeon Road. Just identify this building and enter it; take the elevator to the 6th floor. Upon opening the door of Elevator 1, you will arrive at the reception area. At Elevator 2, fill out the basic information form (available in Chinese). After that, a nurse will guide you to the consultation room.

In the Seomyeon area of Busan, clinics such as JRYN Clinic and Floria Dermatology are all easily accessible on foot from the Seomyeon Station. In fact, there are far more options available – not just these two clinics, but numerous others throughout the entire Seomyeon commercial district.

V. The experience of having a face-to-face consultation with the director

After entering the treatment room, the nurse first took me for a skin examination. It is worth mentioning that LinoBo uses the official VISIA skin examination device from South Korea, which quantifies various indicators such as Pores, pigmentation, and wrinkles.

To be honest, it was only when I saw those red and yellow numbers on the screen that I truly realized how much worse my skin condition was than I had imagined. After reviewing the report, the director didn’t rush to push the treatment forward. Instead, he asked me first, “What is your approximate budget?” I said it was around 1 million Korean won (about NT$26,000). After hearing this, the director nodded and said, “Then let’s go with HIFU + hyaluronic acid therapy.”

By the way, if you, like me, have sensitive skin, you shouldn’t just rely on price when choosing a Dermatology clinic. In the Seomyeon area of Busan, there are indeed some clinics that are more suitable for people with sensitive skin than those in Gangnam, Seoul. However, it’s a good idea to compare prices and services before making an appointment, so you won’t be disappointed when you arrive.

VII. Treatment Process: My Personal Experience

Let me state the conclusion first: The whole process went much more smoothly than I had expected. When the anesthetic was applied, it felt cool and there was no discomfort at all. During the HIFU treatment, with 600 pulses delivered, I did indeed feel a slight stinging and swelling around the jawline — similar to the sensation of teeth touching ice cubes — but it was completely within an acceptable range.

1. A pplication of anesthetic cream (about 30 minutes) – The nurse will apply it for you; the cream is cool and doesn’t cause any discomfort.

2 ses sions of HIFU, 600 treatments in total (about 40 minutes) — during the treatment, the director kept asking me if I felt any discomfort. To be honest, there was a slight tingling and swelling around my jawline, similar to the sensation of teeth touching ice, but it was completely within an acceptable range. After half of my face had been treated, the nurse showed me in the mirror — the contours on this side had already become more defined than those on the other side.

3. R ejuran hyaluronic acid injection (about 20 minutes) – Since my face was already numb, I hardly felt anything. The director injected the fluid very carefully, distributing it evenly from my Forehead to my chin, needle by needle.

Appl ying a mask followed by LED light therapy for approximately 15 minutes — immediately after the procedure, applying a mask helps to reduce inflammation, while the LED red light promotes recovery. The nurse advised me not to fall asleep during this time, but I still dozed off for about 10 minutes.

The post-operative care kit includes samples of skincare products for recovery. The nurse specifically emphasized the following points: 1. Do not wear makeup within 24 hours after the procedure; 2. Drink plenty of water (at least 2000 ml per day); 3. Strengthen sun protection measures. None of these details were ever mentioned to me during my visits to Dermatology clinics in Taiwan.
