Guide to Booking Appointments at Benjamin Dermatology in South Korea | Dual-Director Service at Sinsa Station, Chinese-speaking staff available, All prices clearly listed

I. Why I Wrote This “Guide to Booking Appointments at Benjamin Dermatology”

At the end of last year, I helped a friend find a Dermatology clinic in Gangnam. There were three things she cared most about: whether it was close to the subway, whether the staff could speak Chinese, and whether the prices were clearly listed. After checking through several options, we settled on “Benjamin Dermatology” — it’s located in the shopping area around Sinsa Station, has two chief physicians, and lists its prices openly on BeautsGO. I went there in person to experience it firsthand and compiled information on the process of visiting the clinic, the actual prices, as well as some common pitfalls to watch out for, to serve as a reference for those considering going there for the first time.

Let me make that clear upfront: this isn’t an ad, nor is it meant to boost its rankings. I’m simply listing the information I’ve actually seen, along with the prices published on the platform. The final decision of whether to choose it or not is up to you.

30-Second Summary: Who Is a Good Candidate for Benjamin Dermatology?
  • Suitable for those who want to undergo basic anti-aging treatments, glow therapy, or HIFU procedures in the Sinsa Station/Gangnam area, and prefer transparent pricing along with service providers who can communicate in Chinese.
  • Transportation: Located at 138 Dosan-daero, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. It’s easily accessible on foot from Sinsa Station. Open until 8 p.m. on weekdays, making it a great option even after work.
  • Price highlights: Re20 Collagen Glow Treatment in a 5 centum core package costs ₩700,000 (approximately NT$16,000), while the 2nd-generation Ulthrea treatment with 300 shots starts at ₩1.53 million (about NT$35,000).
  • Please note: the clinic is closed on Sundays and only open until 4 p.m. on Saturdays. It’s recommended to make an appointment in advance during peak hours, as waiting times on-site may be quite long.

My conclusion: If this is your first time coming to South Korea for medical aesthetics treatments and you’re looking for “transparent pricing and smooth communication,” Benjamin offers a low-barrier entry point. However, if you’re after top-tier equipment or treatments provided by renowned specialists, there are more expensive options available in Gangnam.

If you’re also looking at other clinics in Gangnam, I’ve previously written an introduction to Dr. Shin at HEV Dermatology. It’s part of Gangnam’s anti-aging network, offers relatively transparent pricing, and can be used as a comparison with Benjamin’s clinic.

IV. Why I Noticed Benjamin Dermatology

To be honest, there are so many Dermatology clinics in Gangnam that it’s hard to choose. Benjamin makes it onto my list for one main reason: “the prices are clearly listed.” Many clinics ask you to fill out forms first, add them on LINE, and have a conversation before giving you a quote. Benjamin, on the other hand, lists the services and their prices in Korean won right on BeautsGO, which reduces the psychological pressure for those who are worried about getting overpriced.

The second reason is the dual-director system. What Dermatology fears most is having a “nominal director” while actual treatment is carried out by nurses. Benjamin confirmed that both representative directors—Director Lu and Director Hong—conduct consultations in person. At least on the day I made my appointment, the consultation was done by the directors themselves, not their assistants.

V. Procedure for Visiting Benjamin Dermatology (What to Do on Your First Visit)

  1. Reservation: Book your preferred time slot through BeautsGO, WeChat, or the Chinese-speaking customer service. For popular times (weekends, evenings), it’s recommended to book 3–5 days in advance.
  2. Registration: Upon arrival at the clinic, please state your name at the front desk. The Chinese-speaking supervisor will assist you in filling out your basic information and allergy history.
  3. In-person consultation: The clinic director conducts a one-on-one assessment of your skin condition, using specialized devices to examine your Pores, skin tone, and areas of sagging, before recommending the most suitable treatment plan (without pushing the most expensive options right from the start).
  4. Treatment: After confirming the plan and price, it can be carried out on the spot or at a scheduled time; the device probes are opened in front of you, and the dosage can be explained by the clinic staff.
  5. Post-surgery: Sedation is provided along with important instructions; some packages include post-operative repair masks. Before discharge, the schedule for follow-up visits or additional treatments is confirmed.

For Taiwan dollars, we estimate ₩10,000 ≈ NT$230; this is merely for budgeting purposes only. The actual price will depend on the consultation at the clinic. Exchange rates fluctuate, so it’s best to check again before making a decision.

VII. Benjamin Dermatology: Make sure you understand these 8 details before going there

Focus Point 1|Personal consultation by both chief physicians – no nominal involvement only

Benjamin revealed that both Dr. Ro and Dr. Hong, the representative directors of the clinic, personally see patients. For those who are worried that “the director will only meet you once and hand you over to an assistant afterward,” this is definitely a big plus. If you’d like to specify a particular director when making an appointment, be sure to mention it in advance.

Focus Point 2|Prices are transparent, but you need to check the details of the package contents carefully

The Re20 glow injection is available at two prices: “5 cc alone” and “+Mriajet,” with the latter costing nearly twice as much. When getting a quote, make sure to clarify whether the cost includes the device setup and exactly how many cc will be used—don’t rely solely on the total price.

Focus Point 3|Sinsa Station has excellent transportation links, but don’t make the trip on Sundays for nothing

It’s convenient for working professionals as it stays open until 8 p.m. on weekdays; however, it’s closed on Sundays and only opens until 4 p.m. on Saturdays, so be sure to take this into account when planning your visits.

Focus Point 4|Appointments available in Chinese; lower communication costs on-site

It supports booking in Chinese and on-site communication, which saves a lot of time spent on back-and-forth confirmations for those visiting South Korea for the first time or who are not fluent in Korean.

Focus Point 5|Re20 Collagen Glow Serum is one of its flagship products

Benjamin has designated Re20 as a key product. Those looking to try collagen-based hydrating treatments can compare it with Rejuran and Juvelook to decide whether they need to “nourish their skin’s foundation” or simply “hydrate it.”

Focus Point 6|The 2nd-gen Ulthrea device is now available

For HIFU treatments, there are two package options: 300 shots and 600 shots. The number of shots determines the coverage area. Those with a smaller face or who only want treatment on the lower and middle parts of the face can start by evaluating the 300-shot option without having to go straight for 600 shots.

Focus Point 7|Take a 1-hour lunch break – don’t rush to get back on time

On weekdays, 13:00–14:00 is reserved for lunch breaks, during which the front desk and treatment services may be temporarily unavailable. It’s advisable to schedule appointments around noon to avoid waiting in vain.

Focus Point 8|Good ratings, but limited sample size

BeautsGO has a rating of 4.6 BYUL (11 reviews) and 5.0 on Google, indicating generally positive feedback. However, the number of reviews isn’t very large, so consider it alongside your own in-person consultation experience — don’t rely solely on online ratings.

VIII. How to Make the Easiest Appointment at Benjamin Dermatology

My advice is: first figure out what type of treatment you’re looking for (anti-aging devices? hyaluronic acid injections? Filler for facial contouring?). Bring a screenshot of the price list mentioned above, and use BeautsGO or their Chinese customer service to schedule an in-person consultation with a clinic director. On the day of the consultation, have the director check your actual skin condition with a diagnostic device, so you can finalize the treatment plan and get the exact price right there—avoid paying for the entire package before even seeing a professional.

XI. Frequently Asked Questions about Benjamin Dermatology

How to make the easiest appointment at Benjamin Dermatology
Bottom line: The easiest way is to use BeautsGO or contact the Chinese customer service to schedule a consultation with the director. During peak times (weekends, evenings), book in advance 3–5 days to avoid long waiting times on site; you can then finalize the treatment plan and get a quote right there on the day of the consultation.
Is Benjamin Dermatology open on weekends?
Yes, but it’s open only until 4 p.m. on Saturdays and closed on Sundays. It’s open until 8 p.m. on weekdays, which is more convenient for those who want to visit after work. There’s a lunch break from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., so try not to come at that time.
Are the prices at Benjamin Dermatology really the lowest?
It may not be the lowest price, but it follows a transparent pricing approach — BeautsGO clearly displays the project prices in Korean won, making it easier to make informed comparisons. Whether you choose this option over others depends on the number of sessions you need and whether the treatment is recommended by the clinic director.
How should I choose between an HIFU with 300 shots and one with 600 shots?
If you have a small face or only want treatment on the mid-to-lower face, an assessment starting at 300 units (starting from ₩1.53 million) is sufficient; for full-face treatment including the neck and in cases of noticeable sagging, consider 600 units. The number of units determines the coverage area — more isn’t always better. A in-person consultation allows the specialist to use diagnostic equipment for the most accurate assessment.
Is communication in Chinese at Benjamin Dermatology smooth?
We offer booking services in Chinese as well as in-person consultations. For those visiting South Korea for the first time or who are not fluent in Korean, the communication barrier is reduced compared to clinics that only use Korean. It’s best to clarify your preference for a specific doctor or any special requirements at the time of booking.
What should I check out to learn more about Re20 Collagen Glow Serum?
RE20 isn’t an exclusive product of Benjamin’s brand — many other companies also produce it. If you want to understand how it differs from Rejuran and Juvelook, simply click on the article titled “Real Review of RE20 Collagen Glow Serum” above. It provides a more detailed explanation of its ingredients and working mechanism, so you can decide whether to go ahead with it or not.
